Hi, welcome to Peach Childminding, I am Leah, I'm 28 and have two children of my own. I strive to provide a caring, loving and fun childcare in a home environment. I have experience in most age ranges. You are more than welcome to come along and meet me and spend as much time with us as you need to. It is imperative that you, and your child are comfortable and at ease. I provide a pick up and drop off service if required, I hold a full, clean UK driving licence. I am insured for business purposes and have child seats in the car for all ages.
Background
When I had my first child, I suffered greatly with Post Natal Depression. This was due partly to the situation I was in, the lack of support I had, and my mental health. I became dependent on my young son, I wouldn't let him out of my sight, I would never let anyone care for him, and that meant it took me longer to recover. I am so passionate about providing a service where parents feel they can leave their child with me. Whether it's for work, an appointment, a day trip, or even just because they need a bit of 'me time'. I am currently looking into ways I can provide a mental health service, short notice and emergency care. When you feel that enough is enough and you need some time to recuperate. Mental health is nothing to be ashamed of. I'm incredibly proud of myself, for fighting through and for getting myself better for my son and for myself. I want you to know I'm here, no judgement, just support and understanding. I love to see children flourish and grow into the best versions of themselves – I’ll do everything I can to provide a fun, educational experience for them. I have recently moved to the island and needed childcare for my 9 & 5 year old boys over the Christmas period. Leah was recommended by several people and I must say she was absolutely brilliant. The boys said she was fun and took an interest in what they were playing and joined in with them rather then leaving them too it which they loved. Leah was very punctual and I felt at ease immediately with her friendly nature. I wouldn’t hesitate in using Leah again and I know the boys would love to have her back. She sent me messages throughout the day which really helped keep my nerves at ease. Leah is an excellent childminder and I would recommend here to anyone.
